The Minecraft Survival Guide continues! This tutorial will show you how to set up a blaze spawner (in fact, two blaze spawners!) as a farm for blaze rods and xp, using the slime block flying machines we covered in the last episode.

The series will teach you how to master Survival Mode, and will also be my Single Player Let’s Play series!

  5. Just need to drop one glow stone on the east, west, north, south on the Spawner and it’ll deactivate.

  10. I always thought slime block flying machines were some really complex, daunting field of redstonery to try and work with… but this makes it look so easy! I remember pre-slime block blaze farms that use carefully timed pistons and a funnel-shaped hole to bring the blazes into a single kill point, and this looks considerably easier and less resource-intensive than those.

  11. could you hide your nether portal, either with a piston door or otherwise. Make a video about it, similar to the "Hidden Lighting" episode.
    I just think the portal looks out of place in your country house/wheat field area.

  15. you could try putting a killing mechanism, like the dark flower, or cactus, so you dont waste your sword

  18. they changed how the blazes act in 1.13, i started a new world with a few friends after not playing for a few months and i was very disappointed to see that i wasted an hour building a farm

  20. Don't forget to make the floor of the trench and kill chamber out of non-spawnable blocks!

  21. i found two blaze spawners only two blocks apart on a random seed (in the nether fortress)

  22. I have a double blaze spawner and I just take 3 potions of fire resistance (8 mins) and I drink it and just run in and kill al the blazes and run out, get 30 levels only using two, they can hardly touch you unless you get stuck in the middle of 5 of them and they punch you to death

  26. The two dislikes are from blazes that tried to spawn but didn't.
